2010 WTO Essay Award for Young Economists

The annual WTO Essay Award consists of a prize of CHF 5,000 to the author(s) of the winning essay. In the case of a co-authored paper, the prize will be equally divided among the authors. The winning paper will be officially announced at the annual meeting of the European Trade Study Group (ETSG), which is currently the largest conference specializing in international trade. The award ceremony will take place in September 2010 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The winning author(s) will receive funding to attend the meeting.

Job Description Bank of America Merrill Lynch Commodities Research is seeking an analyst to join their Commodity Research team. The position requires a graduate degree, preferably at the PhD level in economics, finance, or other quantitative field.

We are seeking candidates at the junior level with a solid understanding of applied econometrics. An interest in commodity and financial markets is a must and a background in applied economics, finance or international economics are also important.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are a must. Position will be based in either London or New York.
