Research Economist Positions at PIER, Bank of Thailand
The Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research (PIER) of the Bank of Thailand seeks economists at various experience levels for the positions of Economic Analyst/Research Economist/Senior Research Economist.
Candidates are required to have an advanced degree in a quantitative field, preferably a Ph.D. degree in economics or finance. Applicants should have a strong interest in delivering high-quality policy-relevant economic research; demonstrable ability to identify and address complex policy issues; competence in econometric and statistical methodologies; and excellent writing and communication skills in Thai and English. A strong track record of research publications and/or work experience in an academic or research institution is a plus.
PIER operates as a semi-autonomous unit unitwithin the Bank of Thailand. PIER endeavors to foster and promote high-quality economic research in Thailand through a centralized platform for collaboration and dissemination of policy-relevant research.
